Black and white peppercorns are both the fruit of the pepper plant, but black peppercorns are picked when almost ripe and sun-dried, turning the outer layer black. White peppercorns, on the other hand, have the outer layer removed before or after drying, leaving only the inner seed.
Our white peppercorns are ideal for use in a grinders, when you want to add a peppery taste to sauces without the color of black pepper specks. White peppercorns also have a slightly stronger spice so stay mindful while grinding.
