Hand gathered pine pollen. The taste is mild, pleasant, and, almost a bit cheesy and yeasty. It's not unpleasant. There's also the texture. Pollen has a sort of not-unpleasant granular quality to it that you'll be able to pick out eventually in things that you make, it's a special quality, and part of what makes it special.
