Copal resin (known as pom in Mayan) is a natural tree resin, harvested when the tree is cut and a milky sap seeps out and hardens. It has a long history of ceremonial use among Mayan and other Indigenous peoples of Mesoamerica.

🔥 How to Use It
Burn on charcoal disks, not directly on flame
Light charcoal disk until it self-ignites (about 20 seconds), then set in a heatproof bowl filled with sand or dirt
Let charcoal heat for a few minutes until edges turn gray
Place a small amount of resin on the charcoal to release smoke
Add more resin as it burns down to maintain a steady smoke
