Chimichurri is a spice blend and rub used for grilled meat and sauces, and originates from Argentina and Uruguay. Ours is a dry mix of finely chopped parsley, minced garlic, olive oil, oregano, and red wine powder. As a sauce base you could think of it as an alternative to pesto.
Great on steak, and poultry. Just toss your protein in it, marinate for as little as 5 minutes or as long as overnight, and cook in a pan on high heat, with onions and garlic. Yum!
Ingredients: Greek Oregano, Basil, Parsley, Thyme (sometime Marjoram), Black Pepper, Sweet Smoked Paprika, Savory, Garlic Powder, Sweet Crushed Chili Flakes, Hot Chili Flake.
