Cow's Foot Leaves — Pata de Vaca, large pieces, 1 oz
Known in Brazil as pata de vaca ("cow's paw") for its distinctive two-lobed leaf shape, Bauhinia forficata has a long history in South American traditional herbalism, where it's often referred to as "vegetable insulin." Leaves have traditionally been prepared as a decoction (simmered tea) for everyday wellness support.
This cut & sifted leaf is ideal for traditional tea preparation. Because active compounds extract best with heat, simmering — not simple steeping — is the traditional method.
